Prof. Qingfeng Ge from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Southern Illinois University visited the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics and gave a lecture entitled “Application of Metal Oxides in Catalysis and Solid Lubrication” on May 27.
In his lcture, Prof. GE introduced the application of metal oxides in catalysis, especially in the oxidation of CO and activation of CO2, and friction and wear properties of several double metal oxides used as solid lubricating coatings under high temperature.
Prof. GE’s research interests include molecular dynamics simulation and the related theories. He has published more than 90 papers in Science, Journal of American Chemical Society and Physical Review Letters.
Prof. GE was invited by the State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication of the LICP.
