On Sept. 17, Dr. Jiansheng Qu, a professor from Lanzhou Branch of National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences, departed for US to carry out a climate change exchanging plan for one month under Climate Change Professional Fellows Program. Dr. Qu will visit several key climate change related organizations in US and have deeply discussion on the hot points of climate change with the US specialists, as well as the other 10 fellows from Australia, Japan, Indonesia and China. This program aims to create opportunities for professionals in the field of climate change to come together to share information, and identify the best practices and strategies for reducing carbon emissions. In the past several days, the fellows have discussed and exchanged knowledge and experiences on the topics of clean techs, low carbon power, CCS, and carbon market with the US professionals in the courses of visiting the Energy Foundation, the Nature Conservancy at San Francisco, and Baruch College, the Office of Environmental and Energy Programs of the Port Authority, and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority at New York City.
