The educational investigation group from the  Hsinchu University of Education visited the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), on August, 11. The group was headed by GUO Zhengci, the ex-president of the Taiwan Association for Coatings and Thin Films Technology.

Accompanied by Professor CHEN Jianmin, director of the Surface Engineering Institution of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES) and R&D Center of Lubricating and Protecting Materials of the LICP, the group visited the researching park, exhibition room, State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication and R&D Center of Lubricating and Protecting Materials of the LICP. They were also acquainted with the history, research areas, programs undertaken, the construction of research platforms, research achievements of the LICP.

Taiwan Association for Coatings and Thin Films Technology has a long history of close cooperation with the Surface Engineering Institution of the CMES. The two sides have already taken turns organizing 8 cross-strait seminars on thin-film science and technology.
