On August 22, Professor ZHANG Weiguang from the School of Chemistry and Environment at South Normal University visited Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and delivered a report.
The title of Prof. ZHANG’s report was Chiral recognition of bio-protein. In the report, Prof. ZAHANG introduced his group’s work on chiral recognition of bio-protein from the aspects of bio-protein-based chiral stationary phases, quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) chiral biosensors, chiral recognition by UV spectrometry, chiral recognition by fluorescence spectrometry, etc.
Introduction to Professor ZHANG Weiguang:
Prof. ZHANFG received his doctoral degree from Lanzhou University. He now serves at the School of Chemistry and Environment of South Normal University as a full time professor. He is a member of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths and standing member of Chemical lndustry and Engineering Society of Guangdong. He was once a visiting profess of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory at University of California, Berkeley and Research Fellow A of National University of Singapore. Prof. ZHANG’s research interests include molecular recognition and separation materials of chiral medicine, chiral crystallization and new polymer protective materials. He has won several provincial sci-tech awards. He has published around 120 papers in Biosens. Bioelectron., J. Chromatogr. A and Chem. Eur. J. and authored 3 works. He also holds 4 national patents.
