Professor YE Xinshan, Professor JIA Yanxing and Professor JIAO Ning from School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Peking University, visited the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), on January 17. During their visit, they each delivered a lecture.
The title of Professor YE’s lecture is Chemical synthesis of oligosaccharide based on pre-activation strategy and some pharmaceutical discoveries based on sugar. In the lecture, Professor YE introduced the concept of oligosaccharide synthesis by pre-Activation strategy put forward by his group, one pot glycosylation based on pre-activation strategy and the application of the approach in the synthesis of biologically active oligosaccharides.
In his lecture entitled Total synthesis of several indole alkaloids, Professor JIA introduced his group’s progress in the total synthesis and biomimetic synthesis of natural products with important biological activity, structural modification of natural products with biological activity, the structure activity relationship, new methods in organic synthesis, etc.
Professor JIAO introduced some facile, highly efficient synthetic methods his group developed from simple raw materials and with oxygen as oxidants in his lecture entitled Highly Efficient Methodologies via Oxygenation and Nitrogenation.
