On April 27, 2007, organized by the News Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and coordinated by  the Foreign Affairs Office in Gansu Provincial Government, 12 foreign news reporters from difference news medias interviewed the Lanzhou State Laboratory on Heavy Ion Accelerator, IMPCAS.

　　Pref.Xu Hushan , assistant director of IMPCAS, briefly introduced the status of the IMPCAS. Pref. Zhao Hongwei, vice- director of IMPCAS, briefly introduced the status of the Lanzhou State Laboratory on Heavy Ion Accelerator and the HIRFL-CSR. The reporters expressed their enormousinterest on these large-scale scientific research equipment and carried on the thorough interviews on using heavy ion to treat cancers.

　　Mr. Xie Ming who is party committee secretary of CCP and vice- director of IMPCAS , Ms. Zhao Shenglan who is the vice-director of the Foreign Affairs Office in Gansu Provincial Government, and Mr. Meng Mian who is the director of the News Center in the News Division of Ministry of Foreign Affairs accompanied the foreign news reporters to interview the IMPCAS.
