On the afternoon of October 21st, Lanzhou University and Institute of modern Physics (IMP), CAS signed an agreement to jointly establish the Research Center for Hadron and CSR Physics, which is a research unit affiliated to School of Physical Science and Technology at Lanzhou University. Prof. Fahu Chen (The vice president of Lanzhou University), Prof. Guoqing Xiao(the director of IMP), Prof. Desheng Xue(the dean of the School of Physical Science and Technology at Lanzhou University) and some scientific researchers attended the signing ceremony.

　　The research center will serve as a platform for both sides to jointly research on hadron physics at HIRFL-CSR, which will be helpful for the construction of the Hadron Physics LanzhoU Spectrometer(HPLUS) in the near future.  

　　Both sides agreed that the cooperation in talent exchange, theoretical and experimental researches should be strengthened with the establishment of the research center.
