The 5th conference of the standing directors of the 15th council of the Gansu Chemical Society was held on November 28, 2009, in the LICP. The Conference was presided over by Prof. Liu Weimin, Council Chairman of the Society, and attended by Vice Council Chairman and over 20 council members of the Society.

During the meeting, issues concerning the Society were discussed and it was decided to hold the 16th representative assembly of the members of the Society on December 20, 2009 in the LICP.

Wei Xiaoming, Head of the Division of Societies of the Gansu Association for Science and Technology, was specially invited to attend the meeting. He fully affirmed the achievements the Society made and put forward some advice on the future development of the Society. Prof. Liu Weimin made the summary report. He extended his thanks to the Gansu Association for Science and Technology for the support and to the specialty committees for their contributions to the Society, and made some suggestions for the next council of the Society.
