Prof. Wang Zhiguang from Institute of Modern Physics, CAS become a new IC member of the ICACS in the meeting which was held by the International Committee (IC) to adjusted and reelected part of the IC members, during the 24th International Conference on Atomic Collisions in Solids (ICACS-24) held in Krakow, Poland, 18-23 July 2010.
The ICACS was initiated in 1965 and being held once every two years. It is an important international conference with long history and intense activities in the research field of energetic ion beam – matter interactions. More, major applications conferences like IBMM (ion beam modification of Materials), IBA (ion beam analysis) and REI (radiation effects in insulators) have grown out of the ICACS.
