The second annual seminar on the operation of Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL) was held in Yinchuan City, the capital city of Ningxia Autonomous Region, China on 3-6 August.
Prof. ZHAO Hongwei, the deputy director of IMP, addressed at the opening ceremony. The guest participants are from Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC), Hefei National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory(NSRL), Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF), and China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS). They presented the running, debugging, improvement and progress of each project. Prof. ZHAO made a summing-up report on HIRFL operation last year and looked forward to the experimental study of physical beam accelerator next year with specific requirements.
More than 180 experts from IMP and other Institutions participated in the seminar.
