IMP (Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences) & Dasheng (Dasheng Group) production study and research (PSR) base, was founded at Suzhou, Jiangsu province, China on Nov. 1st 2011.

The main purpose of founding this base is to implement the industrialization of DG-type electron accelerator developed by IMP. Dasheng Ltd. will carry out the production, modification and marketing.

The DG-type accelerator is specifically designed to satisfy the various requirements of customers. Comparing with another type industrial electron accelerator like Dynamitron, the DG accelerator is more compact, better with energy transfer efficiency and easier with maintenance. In addition, Round-clock operation is the main feature of the DG-type accelerators. Its design simplicity, convenience, easily control and reliability in operation.

The more applications of this industrial electron accelerator are as follows: modification of the polyethylene insulation for the production of thermoresistant wires and cables; the production of thermoshrinkable pipes, films and bands; Sewage water treatment; purification of flue gases of thermal station from sulphur oxides and nitrogen oxides; sterilization of food production.

During the ceremony, Prof. XIAO Guoqing, the director of IMP, mentioned that IMP Will do the best to do well in electronic technical support of the DG-type accelerators, strive to make this base as successful PSR cooperation paradigm of the local government, enterprises, and academy of sciences, develop and provide products, which are international competitive and meet market demand, then boost local economic development.

The leaders or experts from Suzhou and Wujiang city government, Jiangsu Province, China Isotopes and Radiation Association (CIRA), China Nuclear Energy Association, IMP, Dasheng Ltd., as well as the relevant units, attended this unveiling ceremony.
