On July 18, 2012, the report meeting about the comprehensive development and utilization of salt lake resource, organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Qinghai, was held in Qinghai Institute of Salt Lake (ISL), Chinese Academy of Science. Mr. Lu Yongxiang, Vice-chairman of National People's Congress Standing Committee, Luo Huining, deputy secretary of Qinghai Province, the provincial governor, and Liu Chunyao, deputy director of Qinghai Province People’s Congress of the Permanent Committee attended the report meeting.

Representatives of the Qinghai Institute of Salt Lake, Institute of Process Engineering, Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Group, Qinghai University, Shanghai Genius Advanced Material Limited Company and other enterprises attended the meeting.

Mr. Lu said, enterprises have superiority on the industrial innovation, system integration and competition in the market, they still need research institutions to provide the source of technology, including the source of outstanding technical talents. So the cooperation between the enterprises and research institute and form industrial innovation integration are very important.

Luo Huining points out in the meeting, Qinghai Province has vast territory and abundant resources, the Salt Lake resources are one big advantage. Qinghai provincial government is willing to integrate the force of each respect on the comprehensive development and utilization of salt lake resources. It's a powerful and direct support to Qinghai development if we could transfer the resources superiority of Qinghai salt lake to economic advantage. The provincial government will continue to support the comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources, continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation, and constantly create new situation of Qinghai salt lake resources utilization.
