Prof. XIAO Guoqing and Prof. Yongmin Cho signing the MOU
On November 6, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Konkuk University, Korea signed at Lanzhou, Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMP).
The MoU will enhance bilateral cooperation in exploring hadron physics, particle physics and cosmology based on the Cooling Storage Ring (CSR) and the future project of Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF).
The Konkuk University is one of the leading universities in Korea on the research of basic science including physics, chemistry, biology and medicine. The affiliated hospital of Konkuk University is the fourth biggest hospital in Korea, which has powerful strength in developing the biomedical research.
IMP is the only research institution with an intermediate and high energy heavy ion accelerator in China, which could be used to study hadron physics and particle physics. It is one of the research institutions employing on large heavy ion accelerator facility to develop space foundation simulation experiment in today's world.
