The International Symposium on Regional Carbon Cycle & the 11^th Annual Meeting of USCCC was held in Lanzhou on July 7 to 11, which was hosted by USCCC and ChinaFLUX, presented by Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute (CAREERI). 

There were nearly 100 persons attending this meeting who are from USA, Italy, Canada and China. 

During the Annual Meeting, USCCC invited five professors to train participating members the flux observation and the data analysis. Meanwhile, there were eighteen teachers and students making academic reports on the regional carbon cycle. 

Otherwise, the 11^th Annual Meeting of USCCC was held and USCCC members elected the new rotating chairman，they are Prof. Xiao Jinfeng and Prof. Ma Mingguo. USCCC members also decided the next meeting would be held in Shanghai. 

Finally, participating members visited the Flux Observation System in Zhangye city.
