On Dec 10, the 1st Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of the Comprehensive and Efficient Utilization of Salt Lake Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences convened the Committee’s Conference for the first time. On the conference, the committee discussed the development planning and aims in depth.

Delong Xu, the Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the director of the committee, proposed Xingfu Wang, chairman of the Salt Lakes Industry Co. Ltd, and Dongping Duan, deputy director of ISL, for the deputy directors of the committee.

On the conference, members of the committee highly commended the preliminary work, the positioning, the development planning, the aims and the operational mechanism of the laboratory, affirmed the accuracy of the positioning, the clearness of the aims and the reasonableness of the planning.

Delong Xu also give some suggestions for the development of the laboratory that the laboratory should put the technology and economy together, solve practical problems for the industry, take the personnel training as a top priority and strengthen the cooperation with the others. Other academic members also gave some suggestions and promised to make its own contribution on the laboratory’s development.

Yongzhong Jia, the Laboratory Director, thanked the committee members’ guidance and promised the Laboratory will be in accordance with the recommendations and try to be an open, cooperative, aggressive, first-class laboratory.
