On Aug 7, ISL held the first Young Scientist Forum organized by the Youth Innovation Promotion Association with the cooperation of the Personnel Department and Technology Department. The theme of the forum is “how the scientific and technical personnel and achievement serve to the local economic development”. The forum aimed at promoting the communication of the young researchers and the cooperation of different disciplines. The forum held in two meeting rooms, presided by four researchers Duan Dongping, Wu Zhijian, Jia Yongzhong, Zhou Yuan.

The forum encouraged the young researchers under 35 years old to participate in and invited some excellent researchers beyond 35 years old. The forum had 29 academic reports in total, including 2 invited lectures reported by Investigating and Surveying Team of the National Commission and Dr. Wu Jun and 27 academic reports. After the reports, the judges selected 10 excellent reports, the first prize awarded to Liu Zhong, the second prizes awarded to Wei Haicheng, Zeng Fangming, Haichunxi, and the third prizes awarded to Yuan qin, Peng Jiaoyu, Gao Dandan, Shen Yue, Miao Weiliang and Li Jiansen. Duan Dongping, the Deputy Chairman, Director Han Fengqing and Director Jia Yongzhong issued the Honor Certificates. Duan Dongping gave high prize to the forum and hoped this forum will stimulate the enthusiasm of the young researchers to scientific research.
