Approved by Qinghai Science & Technology Department, Magnesium industry technology innovation strategic alliance of Qinghai province was founded initiated by 16 units including Qinghai Sunglow Magnesium Co, Ltd. and ISL. The founding conference was held in ISL. The alliance is constituted voluntarily by the companies who engage in study, production, sale and downstream application of magnesium metal, compound and building materials, institutes and universities with leading level in Qinghai province. The alliance aims to promote industry technological innovation capability of magnesium resources utilization in Qinghai province.

Chaoyuan Zhang, vice director of Qinghai Science & Technology Department announced the establishment document of Magnesium Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance of Qinghai Province. Yuan Xie, director of Qinghai Science & Technology Department and Liangcai Li, director of Qinghai Province of Bureau of Quality and Technology Supervision jointly inaugurated the alliance. The meeting passed the alliance’s constitution, established the first council and expert committees composed by eighteen experts. The meeting discussed the situation, problem and recommendations on magnesium industry, research and application of advanced magnesium alloy, progress on application technology of magnesia gel material, progress on magnesium alloy and opportunity of magnesium applied on Chinese automotive lightweight.
