The 2010 Gansu-Jiangsu Symposium on the Application of Attapulgite Clay was held in Lanzhou from June 19 to June 20. More than 120 people from enterprises, research institutes and institutes of higher education of Gansu and Jiangsu provinces attended the symposium.
HAO Yuan, vice-governor of Gansu province and ZHOU Jianmin, vice president of the Nanjing Branch of CAS, delivered speeches respectively.
12 experts have made reports during the symposium, which show the general condition and development of the research on attapulgite clay in Gansu and Jiangsu provinces in recent years. The participants also visited the exhibition room of the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), CAS, and R&D Center for Eco-material and Eco-chemistry of LICP. They were acquainted with the disciplines, research areas and research achievements of LICP.
The Symposium was hosted by Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), CAS, Huaiyin Institute of Technology and the Attapulgite Clay Trade Association of Xuyi, Jiangsu. It is co-organized by Laboratory for Attapulgite Science and Applied Technology of Jiangsu Province and Key Laboratory of Eco-environmental-related Polymer Materials. It is organized by the Gansu Xinyi Environmental Protection and Technology Corporation Limited. |
